We provide advanced spinal correction and chiropractic adjustments. Never in the history of chiropractic care have chiropractors been able to provide the level of help and expertise that is available today. As a chiropractor who cares about utilizing the most advanced chiropractic techniques, Dr. Elizabeth Baker has years of training and continuously works to educate herself on new advancements and progressive therapies in the chiropractic field. By doing so she has been able to help more and more patients experience long lasting relief from back pain, neck pain, headaches, and other conditions. Chiropractic care, under a trained professional, can even be used to prevent injuries, avoid permanent invasive surgeries, and help you achieve total health or wellness.
In addition to skeletal misalignment, you may be experiencing pain that is caused by muscles and connective tissues that may be either too weak or too tight. At Maryland Farms Chiropractic, we teach our patients how to perform special exercises designed to not only strengthen your body, but also support chiropractic adjustments. These exercises also help correct irregularities in the body, which may be a secondary cause of pain. A few of these exercises require a short explanation and must be performed on specialized pieces of equipment in our office under supervision. However, the majority of these corrective exercises can actually be performed in the comfort of your own home to make improving the effectiveness of your chiropractic care and spinal correction plan more convenient for you.
Many of our patients come to see Dr. Liz to address a specific pain symptom such as back pain, neck pain, or headaches. While she will address each patient's specific condition with chiropractic care, we often find it helpful to coach our patients towards achieving a healthier lifestyle as a whole.
For example, there may be certain activities that you should avoid doing or do differently to prevent unintentionally aggravating your particular health challenges. The goal of including lifestyle advice with a chiropractic care plan is to help each and every patient achieve the fulfilling and happy lifestyle they deserve—one that is full with activities that offer you the most enjoyment possible. We recognize that every single one of our patients is an individual with a unique biological makeup, and we use our expertise to incorporate that framework into finding a treatment that will help each and every one of them reach total health and wellness.
What does nutrition have to do with chiropractic care? The goal of chiropractic care is to help patients achieve total health and balance with their body, and as part of that goal we provide specific recommendations on nutritional supplements and healthy food choices.
Do you know which supplements and vitamins are good for you? Do you know how these supplements and vitamins interact with one another? Dr. Baker uses a functional approach to answer these questions. By incorporating a combination of a full 50 marker blood panel; a toxic hair panel; and an in depth health survey, which takes into account height, weight, blood pressure, oxygen saturation; she is able to determine what vital nutrients your body needs. In general, everyone can benefit from a few basic vitamins and supplements, but at our Brentwood chiropractic offices our goal is to determine what exactly your body needs to get achieve optimal health.
Massage is often recommended to support your chiropractic care and our head therapist, Ahmon, is one of the best in town.
A fully licensed massage therapist, Ahmon has been a practicing massage for more than 13 years His bodywork career includes various Asian modalities, such as Shiatsu and Thai Massage. He has also gained invaluable medical massage experience working for various chiropractic offices and has completed course work for licensed chiropractic assistants.
Massage could be defined an asset to one’s health on every level. The sessions patients receive at Maryland Farms Chiropractic are tailored to address specific muscular issues and are often described as being extremely relaxing, both of which are equally important aspects of massage.
